Herr W the collector, part 3

I collect tableware as you know. And i´m a heavy reader as well, do they mix?

Yes.

Arabias Moomin collection is a good example. Tove jansons original moomin illustrations have been embraced by Finnish tableware company Arabia for some years now issuing new models every year.

The Finnish author Tove Janson is one of my favorite authors, her books are disguised as children's books but houses far bigger issues than one would expect to find in children's books.

Here the latest contribution to the family together with my psynt.

Have a nice weekend everybody,

yours,

tw

As a member of KaAMu (=Kannata Alkuperäisiä Muumeja, Support Original Moomins) I send greetings to your cups! I strongly recommend that next you start to collect those Moomin comics. They are just the best cartoons I have ever read! You can find one example from here:

About cups my favourite one is Mörkö. What was he på norsk? (Or was it she? We don't have difference in Finnish, so I never remember.)

hei, reeta,
hun heter Hufsa, takk for linken, vet ikke om jeg kan bli medlem i KaAMu, jeg har for mange falske mummi ting, som en spilledåse jeg er veldig glad i. Men kanskje jeg kan bli medlem en gang i framtiden.

Nothing beats coffee in a Moomin-cup. You can try to beat it. But you won't make it!

I left my cup back home and I miss it. I still like the first edition best (I think it's the first) with smaller images on them. But that's just me I guess.

Johannes, I like also those first Muumi-muki (Moomin cup) better! Where there are only small images. But Arabia doesn't make them anymore...

Terje, don't worry, I will just brainwash you, so sooner or later you will be accept to KaAMu. (If we ever take any new members. I have to talk with Raila about that.)

i think it might be that your mothers moomin cups have had some kind of impact on my obsession with these cups, all the memories...

i hope i will make it to KAaMu someday...

A lot of great memories, thats true. And if we had stuck with the Moomin-cups back then, we might have had more of them! Memories, that is. Not cups. But also the cups. Weeell, pun imploded.

HOLY CRAP!
I cannot get over these mugs. I am obsessed with Moomins and start crying whenever I hear the old tune from the proper puppet show [not the Americanised cartoon they brought out later!].....I MUST HAVE A CUP LIKE THESE!! My stomach is hurting right now; that's how badly I want those cups!!!!!!!!!

Having said that, I am delighted on your behalf, Terje -- what a beautiful collection :-D
